I hate people who talk at the theater. But I couldn’t help these little outbursts.
1) Scrimgeour is reading Dumbledore’s Deluminator bequest to Ron and says something like, “May it be a light to you,” and I go, “When all other lights go out…” GALADRIEL STYLE.
2) When Cormac says, “My father will be hearing about this,” and I was like, “No! That’s Draco’s line and you didn’t even get it right!”
3) Somewhere near the third quarter of the movie or so, someone says something like, “You’re our only hope,” and I go, “HELP US, OBI-WAN KENOBI!”
I can’t keep my pop culture references separated…I swear these allusions to other major franchises aren’t accidental, Steve Kloves. I KNOW THEY AREN’T. I caught you and it’s okay, I love LOTR and Star Wars too. I think it’s perfectly cool for HP to pay homage to the other great hero quests of the century.
